You cannot think both. It is either one or the other. If you choose negative, you can expect negative results. If you choose positive, you will have positive results. Just as the mathematician said hundreds of years ago, one plus one is two, two plus two is four, so the psychologist says today—positive thoughts plus positive thoughts make a positive person, success thoughts plus success thoughts will make for success.

The guess work has been taken out of life, now. It is up to you to choose which it will be. The stronger thought is bound to win. Look around you and you will see hundreds of examples of just what we are talking about here.

You cannot hope for success while you are constantly thinking failure. You cannot hope for better financial life if you are constantly thinking poverty. You cannot hope for “I can” if you are always thinking “I can’t.” The stronger thought will always win. Ask yourself, pry into your own mind, into your thinking, “which is your stronger thought?” Then you can foresee the results.

Did you notice how easily you could change from “I can’t” move my hand to “I can?” Contrary to general belief, mind control is not difficult. It is only that we have been told that it is. We have been told that “he who conquers himself, is greater than he who conquers a city” with the result that most people believe that mind control is difficult. Actually, it is very easy. It is so easy that it has been completely overlooked all these years. Remember it is easy, very easy.

We can take the easiest thing and make it difficult. You saw that when you attempted to pick up the pencil. When you told yourself that it was heavy, you could not pick up that little pencil, because you thought it was heavy. But, when you changed your mind and thought you could pick up the pencil, then you did without any trouble whatsoever. So, we must realize that we can control ourselves, that we can choose our own thoughts, that we can make a thing easy or difficult, according to the way we think.

Learn this lesson well. You will be a mental millionaire, the minute you do, and then you will go to becoming an even “greater” mental millionaire as you go along in these lessons.

Just as you make the pencil heavy, so we make life hard—by thinking that life is hard. Just as you make the pencil light, so we make life an enjoyable experience—by thinking this is the way life should be. So, we must constantly watch our thoughts—always, especially because most people do not understand what you understand, and they are too quick to convince you otherwise. If you let them, you will lose the privilege of being a mental millionaire. You would not let anyone take your money away from you—why let them take away your right to be a mental millionaire?

You either ride life or it rides you.
